This space is built for you.
I live with a chronic illness. Accessibility isn’t a checkbox I tick off. It’s something I think about because I know what it feels like when a website just doesn’t work for your body.
What I’ve built in
This site is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards. In plain terms, that means:
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page so keyboard users can get straight to what they came for.
- Descriptive alt text on all images, so screen readers can communicate what’s on the page.
- Colour contrast that meets AA minimums throughout, including all body text, buttons, and links.
- Full keyboard navigation. You can tab through every page without needing a mouse.
- Properly labelled form fields and buttons with ARIA attributes where needed.
- Semantic HTML, heading hierarchy, and landmark regions so assistive technologies can parse the page structure.
- Reduced motion: animations use the IntersectionObserver and are designed to be subtle. If your system has Reduce Motion enabled, browsers will respect that setting.
- All embedded videos (Instagram, YouTube, Spotify) include title attributes for screen reader identification.
If something on this site isn’t working for you, that matters more than anything on this list. Please reach out. I want to know.
Where I’m still working on it
I’m a solo creator, not a team with a dedicated accessibility engineer. Some third-party embeds (Instagram reels, the Spotify player, Payhip purchase pages) are outside my direct control. I can’t guarantee their accessibility, but I’ve done my best to minimize reliance on them where possible and provide alternatives where I can.
I do regular audits and fix issues as I find them. This is ongoing work, not something I consider done.
PDF downloads
My digital products (workbooks, planners, trackers) are PDFs. They are designed for print and screen use, with clear headings, generous font sizes, and high-contrast layouts. If you need a product in a different format and what I have isn’t working for you, reach out and we’ll figure something out together.
Captions and transcripts
Video content on this site and on my social channels is captioned. I use auto-captions and review them, though they aren’t perfect. If a specific video is missing captions or has errors that make it inaccessible to you, please let me know which one and I’ll prioritize fixing it.
Conformance status
This site aims to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some content or functionality may not fully meet the standard, primarily where it relies on third-party tools I don’t control.
